A week in the life of The Gibbs Family .....

Korinne and I went to a baby shower for Mark's cousin last weekend.  Not sure why she looked so crabby in the first pic but she cheered up quickly for the next!
Kohen and Karlee stayed at the house and had some fun in the backyard.  It was a HOT day! They had a blast!
The rain was pouring down ... never did reach us that day.

The next series of pictures is of our making ice cream in a bag adventure.  Karlee loved doing this!  I can't say it tasted all that great.  We will be looking for a new recipe for next time.
Our ingredients
Pouring the milk
Time to shake it! ..... for 8-10 minutes.  That's a whole lot of shaking!  Mark said, "don't we have an ice cream maker?"  Yes, we do but it is supposed to be fun! The shaking was fun for Karlee for about 15 seconds.  Mark finished out the next 9 min and 45 sec!
The finished product
Taste test!
Mark had made some cookies so she made ice cream sandwiches.  The ice cream actually didn't taste bad on the cookie!
Dancing with Kohen's "Pa cow"
Lil' Miss "helping" with the laundry!  She loves to fold clothes.  As you can see, they don't really get folded.  I can't complain about someone so cute loving to help, though!  She starts by shaking them.  Then, we roll them up in a ball and toss them in a pile - Done!
This is how we roll!
New bike helmet - Dora rainboots - we're set!
I headed back to the cardiologist for a stress test with echocardiogram.  He did this for one last precautionary measure due to the irregular heartbeat they found a couple months ago when I went to the Minute Clinic for a sinus infection.  He said there is absolutely nothing wrong with me and I should not be concerned at all.  I mentioned that every now and then I get dizzy and he said that is due to my blood pressure being so low.  He said if I get dizzy I should sit down, cross my legs and pump my fists and it will go back up.  Glad I went to the cardiologist three times and paid the big bucks for that!  The pictures above just document my visit; before going in - before the procedure - after the echo and my sandpaper wounds after removing the tape.  They take sandpaper to your chest and stomach to stick the stickers on.  It doesn't feel all that great to have your chest sandpapered and this time she sandpapered me really hard!
She was supposed to be getting ready to try out a new class.  She didn't actually get to try it because they were busy rehearsing for recitals.  She will start in August and can't wait!  This will be dance and tumbling class combined.
Playing a rousing game of "Where's the baby?" during breakfast - "There she is!"
Last day of summer school for the girls
Kohen went to the cardiologist yesterday.  He has had a high heart rate sporadically for the last few months and our pediatrician referred us to the cardiologist. After an EKG and an echocardiogram they told us there was nothing wrong with him (thank goodness!).  They said his high heart is due to needing to drink more water ... something I have been telling him for weeks now!!
Family Dinner Questions - the kids love this.  The answers are much more creative/thought provoking than the usual answers to our questions, which are; good, I don't know and "nufin".
Watch out world! I'm pulling this car out of here!
She loved driving Karlee around.  She's actually a pretty good driver!

She was so good at driving she was turning the radio up and driving at the same time!
He decided he was big enough to carry Korinne up to bed.  He made it to the stairs and said she was too heavy!
