Silly girl!
Celebrating Korinne's Birthday
We celebrated on her actual birthday at Chuck E Cheese with Grammie, Pa and Ben.  She LOVED it!
Crawl for Cancer
Three guys under an umbrella. (Brian, Mark and Shane)

The girls (Karie, Brooke, me, Deanna, Beth, Denise and Melissa)
Fun Farm
The kids had the day off of school last week and I took them and their cousin Ashton to the Fun Farm in Kearney. They had a great time. Some of their other cousins happened to be there too (Gavin, Connor and Landon)

Royals Rally
Mom and I went to the Royals Rally to kickoff the postseason.  We got to sit pretty close and see them all up close and personal.
If you notice on some of the pics while they are doing their batting practice, we happen to be right behind their heads!

ALDS - Game 1
Mark was given George Brett Suite tickets from a vendor at work.  We had a great time but unfortunately, they lost that night.

The kids had fun at the neighbor's house while we were at the game.
I can't take credit for this but I thought it was really funny.  I found it on Facebook.
ALDS - Game 5
Cueto got his groove back during this game.  Great, exciting game to watch!

I can't take credit for the pic above or the next two either but, again, I just liked them and wanted to add to my blog.
Celebrating my birthday
Mom, Korinne and I celebrated my birthday last Wednesday.  We went to Genessee Royale, which was really good.
Sitting outside of Westside Storey after doing a little shopping.

A little more walking around the Crossroads District area of KC

We went to Char Bar to celebrate my birthday with some dinner and drinks.  Picture in the girls picture above: Beth, Nikki, Brooke (little Brooke), Melissa, Jen, Mandy, me and Brooke (tall Brooke).  We had a  great time!

Kohen and Karlee had spirit week at school last week.  Shoal Creek day, Royals day, pajama day, Western day and wacky sock/hat day.

Kohen's field trip to the zoo.  They had to bring their backpacks and Ipads to take pictures of the animals.  One poor kid dropped his ipad over a railing into the area with the singing dogs/wolves.  Luckily the zookeeper got it out.  Poor kid ... at least his mom wasn't on the field trip to see it!

Soccer!  She has been playing for three weeks now.  Tonight is her game! She thinks she is a soccer rocker!

Karlee's grade went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch.  I didn't get picked to go but her teacher sent some pics and said they had a great time!

Football!
Mom and I went to the Nebraska game on Saturday.  Wasn't the greatest game and it was very cold but we were there! Ha!

We headed to the annual fish fry at Ron and Nancy's after the game.  We had a great time! Kids picture above on right (Korinne, Cora, Karlee, Brevin, Toby, Abby, Kohen, Kale and Macy)

We made a stop at Berry Farm Pumpkin Patch on the way out of Nebraska - the kids had a blast at this pumpkin patch.

Zombie Hunting - he really wanted to do the night version, where they say there are "live" targets and it is a bit scarier but we weren't there late enough.

It is rough being Wonder Woman (or Wonderman, as she calls it)

Washer time at Gammie and Pa's

Grandpa is a silly storyteller!

The kids and I carved pumpkins on Monday night while Mark was bowling. Really, I should say, I carved pumpkins while Mark was bowling.  The kids did pick their designs but the guts were tough to get out and obviously the carving needed to be left to me.  I can only imagine the lost fingers, eyes, etc. we would have if I had left that to them!
Goofball! She loves to wear those Frozen earmuffs and wears them as they should be and also as a belt.

World Series - Game 1
Dad and I headed out to Game 1 of the World Series last night.  We saw one heck of a game.  It lasted 14 innings.  It was the second longest World Series in history at 5 hours and 9 minutes. It was an amazing game and I am so glad to have been able to be there to cheer on the Royals! We had great seats and great people around us, high fiving at every turn!

Can't take credit for any of these shots.  We were at such an angle last night that you couldn't see the crown in the grass and couldn't read the World Series very well so I had to grab these off the internet for memory sake!
This was right after Gordon's amazing home run in the 9th inning ..... on to extra innings (many extra)! Although, dad looks like he is sleeping, he is not!

Rios

This one is a bit out of order but that is George Brett throwing out the first pitch

And after 14 innings, we WON!

Cue Salvy and the water/gatorade cooler!
Karlee filled this book out in her class at school yesterday.  I thought it was a really cute book to remember the World Series.  She was not correct on the score (page 5) but her favorite player did come through in a clutch moment.
