Myrtle Beach

I will apologize in advance for the massive amounts of pictures!  Here is our trip in a nutshell ....
Flight there .....
We flew into Raleigh and then drove to Myrtle Beach.  Korinne had important calls to make on the drive!
The beach - Boy, was the beach crowded!
Mark, Kohen and I went parasailing. The water was a tad bit rough, making it hard to jump in that little boat that took us out to the main boat.  Kohen really enjoyed parasailing!  Karlee was VERY upset that she couldn't go.  You had to be at least 5.  She lives for this kind of stuff and would've loved it.  Next year!

Lost another tooth the first night of vacation.  The tooth fairy even comes to the beach.  She seems to pay more at the beach too!
The next series of pictures is from Alligator Adventure.  The kids loved this place.  Karlee was the only one brave enough to pet the alligator.  We all look wet because it poured on us for a good portion of our time there.

Boardwalk Billy's - Karlee insisted on ordering off of the "adult" menu.  She ordered chicken and waffles.  She LOVED it!  Korinne loved the chicken wings.

These pics show the true "behind the scenes" of the trip.  They LOVE to fight!
Duffy's Seafood Shack - the pics above are of dad's meal and Ben's dessert.  The pics below explain themselves!
Flying Fish - after we ate at this restaurant they let the kids pick a fish out of the freezer and throw it.  I really wanted them to pick one of the big ones but neither one would.
Goofy girl - she serenaded us with songs from Frozen because no trip would be complete if you didn't watch Frozen at least once, right?!

One of my favorite pics - Karlee and grandpa in the ocean on the prettiest evening we had.  I wish we would've known how nice it was going to be that night.  We would've taken our family pics that evening!

Feeding the fish and ducks

Margaritaville at Boardwalk at the Beach
I was being buried with wet sand .... you can't see but my back is slowly being covered by sand.
She loves to be outside and LOVES the ocean!
She also loves to pose!

Being buried in the sand was also another favorite of Karlee's
Eating the mahi mahi dip at the Flying Fish.  She loved this dip!

They had a mermaid show at Ripley's aquarium.  This was very exciting for Karlee!
Pirate Voyage - this was a dinner theater show put on by Dolly Parton.  It was a great show! The kids loved it.

Mini golf

Boogie Board! Everyone loved the boogie board.  Korinne even did it ... didn't get any pics of her, though.

Korinne thought about being buried but then quickly crawled out of the hole!

Ripley's aquarium

The Sky Wheel.  This is an enclosed ferris wheel that goes 187 feet in the air.  The 6 of us pictured above started the ride.  Karlee is extremely fearless and was bouncing all of over the place, pressing herself up against the glass.  I had to hit the panic button and get off.  It wasn't the height that bothered me (honestly).  I couldn't get the image of her plummeting out of the ferris wheel out of my head.  Kohen said it made him too nervous to watch her too so he got off with me and Korinne didn't have a choice ... I didn't want two of them pressing up against the glass!  Korinne got the "angel" ticket and I thought that was fitting as I sometimes refer to her as my "angel baby".

There was a guy on the beach that did a new sand sculpture every day.  These are a few pics of his masterpieces.
Heading out of Myrtle Beach and back to Raleigh.  It was a rainy, rainy day in MB so it wasn't such a bad day to leave!
Raleigh bound!
We stayed right by the airport in Raleigh.  We had to sit outside for a while and watch the planes come in.  Karlee, of course, had to collect a few leaves and flowers while we were there.  She loves rocks, leaves and flowers.  We would have a house full if I actually kept every single one she has ever kept for me.
I believe this was a clear sign vacation needed to come to an end!
Flight home - stopped in STL (you can barely catch the arch above) and then finally to KC.
Waiting on the bags.  We actually saw ours go on the belt so we knew they made it!

We had a great time, even with all of the fighting over who was pushing the elevator buttons  (and whatever else we can fight over!)
