Austin, Royals, Sporting KC, Back to School and MORE!

I took a girl's trip to Austin a couple weeks ago.  Eleven girls went on the trip. We stayed in a really cool house and had a great time!

Molly took pictures of us trying to take pictures in the photo booth. We had each frame planned out before going in but somehow still couldn't get it right ... it was a mess! Ha!

The outcome

My run through Austin ... at least part of it.  This was in and near the neighborhood our house was in.

We decided the house looked very regal and we also needed to take a "regal" picture. Jan, me, Molly. Beth, Lexi, Waller, Karie and Brooke

Jan and me

Pickle juice shots!

Barton Springs.  This was a natural spring that you could swim at.  It was pretty cool.

This was actually our first stop in Austin.  Needless to say, we didn't stay and eat.

Waller, Brooke, me and Lexi ...... Karie, Beth and Jan are in the background window shopping.  They apparently didn't want to be associated with us at this point.

Some pics of the house

Explanation of the pics - We had a 3 hour drive from Houston, so we stopped for a couple road beers.  The guy at the gas station gave me a tiny paper sack for mine.  Hillary was late and she was told her bag might not make it on our flight but would come on the next flight.  That would've been a problem seeing as we weren't staying in Houston.  Her bag made it ... with a big yellow reminder that she was late! The other pics are our lunch and then stocking up for drinks at the house.

My backflip at Barton Springs.

We got Alex Gordon bobble heads, dressed as a jedi for Star Wars night.  While Mark was taking them back to the car a lady stopped him and asked him to trade one of the bobble heads for the AL Championship ring.

Sporting Kansas City
We went to the Sporting KC game last Wednesday with Mark's company.  Henry Wurst had an employee event where we listened to a Chalk Talk presentation, ate some dinner and watched a great game.  They won 3-1.

 SWIMMING

She was diving for goggles.

We took the kids to Union Station a couple weeks ago to make Coke cans with their names on them.  We hit up the Crayola Cafe and the Liberty Memorial while we were there.

We met Clint, Shelly and Dylan down at Dave and Busters for dinner and games.  The kids love playing at Dave and Busters!

Kohen and Karlee eye exams.  Karlee still has great vision and Kohen's is the same!

Back to school night.  Karlee is very excited to start kindergarten and Kohen is thrilled to be a second-grader! By the looks of it, you would think lil' miss Korinne was primping for her school debut, as well!

The girls LOVE to do makeup.  They did their makeup and mine.  It turned more into face paint by the end but they loved every minute of it.

The kids washed both of the cars yesterday.  The loved washing and spraying each other!

After the car wash, the girls and I went on a run.  The kids love how you can see the city from the hill near our house.  On clear days you can see it so well.  It was a little hazy on the skyline yesterday but the kids love it just the same!

A couple nights ago Mark told Korinne she looked like a baby Heath Ledger.  She came up to me later and said, "I'm a baby Heath Ledger."  It was probably a whole lot more funny in person and when you could hear her say it but I did this side by side and she asked, "is that my brother?!"  Then she said, "Just kidding!"
