Valentine's Parties and MORE!

We went to Kohen's Parent Teacher Conference on Monday night and found out that he was chosen to be a finalist for the logo contest for the May family fun night at school.  He was one of two first graders selected.  A fourth grader ended up winning but his teacher said everyone voted on the finalists and he received a lot of votes.  She said he did a really good job.  Pretty cool!  Can't wait to see his entry.

UPDATE: Here is his entry!  The second pic shows the winner surrounded by all finalists.

A note to me hanging at school.

Karlee enjoying the beautiful weather we had last weekend.

Watching Karlee bake cookies
I enrolled Karlee in kindergarten on Monday.  I can't believe she is already old enough to go to Kindergarten!!
Karlee and Korinne went to a Valentine's day party with Landon at St. James.  They had so much fun!

More Valentine's day fun
Kohen went to Alexander's birthday party at Blanc Palette last weekend.  He loved this! So much so, that he is having his birthday party here now, too.

My big helpers!

Cookie making time! Karlee loves to bake and wanted to make Valentine's day cookies.  She did a great job, while Kohen just begged for icing to be poured into his mouth!

Arts and crafts

Riding the carousel at the mall

Lil' miss arranging the pantry so she can sneak whatever she is after

She loves to pose and she got some new Monster High clothes so it was a perfect opportunity for a pose.

Modeling her new jacket

Hmmmmmmm .... someone pulled out every drawer and cabinet.  The little mittens scattered around the "scene of the crime" don't give it away who it was, do they?!?

Kohen's chalk drawing

Do you think you have enough snacks?  She asked to go get a snack and this is what she came back with! I don't think you need that many snacks, little girl!

Karlee was cozying up to Kohen before he left for school the other morning.

Washing the ol' Barbie Escalade last weekend.
Please ignore the very unflattering pictures of myself (as a reminder, I use this blog to document pretty much everything because I am printing out each year and using as our family yearbook). My 1/2 marathon training has ramped up over the course of the last month and what a difference a week makes!  Two weekends ago I was getting pelted in the eyeballs by snow and running on snow/ice packed sidewalks with 40 mph wind gusts.  Six days later, it was warm enough for short sleeves and it was beautiful out .....   Let's hope for more weeks like last weekend! I have already heard tomorrow is a high of 19 ... ouch! Come on Spring!
