Star Performer, Comfy Campout and one last Christmas

Kohen was chosen as a Star Performer at school.  The teachers get to select 4 students each quarter that they feel are trying very hard academically and/or behaviorally and he was selected.  He was VERY excited to receive the medal and certificate in front of all of his friends at the assembly.  The official description from the school on the Rising Star Award:
Rising Star
The Rising Star Award is designed for students who show a marked improvement in their schoolwork, classroom performance and living the 7 habits.
We had a comfy camp out on Friday.  We had way too many snacks and a couple movies and camped out on the floor.  The kids loved it!

Korinne set all of her stuff back out the next day and said she needed "popcorns and candy". She said "Turn on Ninja Turtles". She was ready to do it all again!
I got these beautiful tulips from a co-worker at Bell.  My last day with Bell was on Wednesday.

Karlee went to her friend, Stella's, for a birthday party.  Elsa was there. She did all of the girls makeup.  She was very excited!

Elsa blew bubbles and all the girls had to pop them .... most of the bubbles lingered near the ceiling, so this was an impossible feat!

Of course, Korinne needed to be Anna.  She was pretty upset she couldn't go to the party too.

Karlee dressed Korinne for the day.  Pa told her the other day it was going to be warming up so she thought shorts seemed appropriate.

Silly girls

Yes, there she is in her shorts with snow in the grass behind her.  Of course, Kohen is bundled from head to toe. There is never any worry about that kid getting cold. Korinne could've cared less - the cold never bother her anyway .... (yes, that was a "Let it Go" reference).

Kohen asked Mark and I to draw with him the other night. These are what we came up with.  I won't tell you who drew which ones.

This is what Korinne did while I was on the treadmill the other day.  She would open one, throw the trash away, take a lick and then put it in the sink.  Towards the end she wasn't even licking.  I didn't care much, as those Dum Dums have been in our pantry for quite some time and I was happy to get rid of them!  Also, it kept her occupied for quite some time.
Getting ready to go to our last Christmas.  We celebrated Christmas with Mark's family yesterday at Michael's.

The kids - Connor, Landon, Karlee, Kohen, Ashton, Gavin, Jackson and Loren.  Korinne was sleeping.

Karlee and Kohen got Monopoly Jr. yesterday.  Karlee couldn't wait to play.  She loved it - she won the big bucks!
Kohen was trying to give Korinne a piggy back ride. These two are like two peas in a pod.  They love to wrestle and chase each other.
Karlee's 2014 interview from pre-k.
