| On our way - rainy day in KC |
| A few more pics of our flight in. It was a quick one - 55 minutes! |
| View from the Navy Pier |
| We went on an architectural boat tour. It was a great tour. Fabulous way to see the city. Mark's favorite part, they served drinks! |
This next series of pictures is all from the architectural tour
| We got an added "bonus" to our tour, as it happened that a barge that was performing construction on a building fell into the water recently and they have not yet been able to retract it out. |
| Night view of the city |
| This is a group of misc pics from our trip. A beer from Michael Jordan's restaurant. Along with a napkin with his signature; The outside of his restaurant; a lighthouse out by Navy Pier; some graffiti under a bridge; the Ferris wheel on the Navy Pier; the character from Big Hero 6; a burger from our last day, some artwork from the contemporary art museum. They were doing a David Bowie exhibit. We didn't go in. Mark doesn't do contemporary art! A blueberry blonde beer from our night out watching the Royals pull out a win! Blueberry in honor of the 'Boys in Blue'! |
| I could've taken pictures all day in Chicago. I really wished I would've taken my 'real' camera! Mark talked me out of it since we were only going to be there a short time and probably wouldn't want to drag it along. We could've taken some great pics with the good camera! |
| We went on a bike tour called Bikes, Bites and Brews. This was SO much fun. We took a 13 mile bike ride through the streets of Chicago (with traffic!). We made some stops along the way for food and beer and few other stops for sight-seeing and a little history of Chicago. Fabulous tour! We saw so much of Chicago and would've never been able to experience the city that way on our own. |
| First stop was Gino's for some deep dish pizza, next up Swirlz for a cupcake, Murphy's for a Chicago style hot-dog and then the last stop was for beer tasting. All of the girl's bikes had boys names on them. All of the boy's, girls. My bike was named Clint. |
| Daniella, our guide, said they normally do two stops for beer but she decided she likes the beer at this particular place better. So, we did all of our beer at Murphy's (different from Murphy's for the hot dog). It was a good thing because we got an extra special treat on our tour. She said this has never happened as long as she has been touring. The owner of Murphy's let us go up on the rooftop and check out the view into Wrigley Field. Apparently, the city has a contract with Murphy's and a few other surrounding buildings to have bleacher seats on their roof to view into the game. Wrigley Field is currently under renovations and she said the city is talking about breaking that contract with those local businesses and have started plans to build higher around the stadium so no one can view in via rooftop. What a shame ... really cool way to experience the game! So, we may have been some of the last people to see inside from the rooftop! |

| Another stop along the bike tour |
| Mark and I went to the John Hancock building on our last day. We went up to the 96th floor to the Signature Lounge. Great views of the city! |
| A church across from the John Hancock building |
| The church had an art show going on inside. So we went in to check it out. It was all kids art, which was pretty good but the inside of the church was beautiful! |
| Bye-Bye, Chicago! |
| Flight home |

| Flight home |
| Home Sweet Home! Korinne must've been having Gabba withdrawals while we were gone. She REALLY wanted to watch it but REALLY wanted to be with us downstairs. The Royals were on so we compromised! |
